It’s tough to make a judgment about the state of negotiations with Iran when the news is misleading at best, lying at worst, and we have no damn idea what the hell is going on. Do you? And then there’s the state of elections 2026; so many candidates, so many scumbags.

Iran, Iran, Trump, Iran... sigh
"I wish I had something clever to say about the state of the Iran negotiations — and the endless discussion surrounding them. At the moment, neither is especially inspiring. Sigh.
I would just caution everyone to pay a little less attention to what Trump says — whether it’s about Iran or a supposed de-escalation between Israel and Lebanon — and a little more attention to what’s actually happening on the ground. And right now, what we’re seeing is a great deal of continued fighting. That’s a far better barometer of where things stand than the latest round of or rumors about phone calls, or meetings.
We’ll try to unpack it all when we meet again. Or we’ll just have a cocktail and rant.
