We’ve got a podcast incoming (notwithstanding our effort to go to Thursday releases, the news is too urgent). Our guest this week is Israeli journalist Haviv Rettig Gur from the Times of Israel. Please do listen… I (Dany) have been in the Middle East business for decades, and I found his thoughtful responses on issues like “colonization” and the “why” of the Hamas attack absolutely fascinating.
But that’s not why we’re here today. So many of us want to do something to help, but don’t know how. We’ve collected just a few organizations that are working to help Israel at its hour of need and continuing the critical fight against the antisemitism that so obviously permeates our societies. In addition, we’ve included links to support Palestinians without helping Hamas/PIJ/Iran.
We share all of these recommendations without prejudice. If you wish to do more due diligence, Charity Navigator is a good place to start.

I’d consider adding the Iranian American Jewish Federation (IAJF) to the list—their mission is to promote Zionist values within the Iranian Jewish community, and a bunch of people from my hometown are on the board. They currently have an emergency donation campaign for Israel on their website and all the funds will be distributed to different Israeli organizations listed here: https://www.iajfny.org/donate.
This was just shared with us, and we can no longer recommend Doctors Without Borders. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/mgoldfarb71_video-biggest-concerns-for-doctors-without-activity-7120484296204722177-CFSp
