What’s going on is that Qatar, for all practical purposes, is the headquarters of United States Central Command. It is America’s aircraft carrier in the Middle East and more stockpiles of American weaponry are stored there than almost any place else in the world. There are huge commercial relationships between the United States and Qatar, which are quite valuable to Americans. And finally and obviously, Qatar is essentially the front line for the US when it comes to Iran. As such, it is also the front line for Israel.

America has a huge array of foreign policy considerations and Israel is but one of them, even though tiny Israel is by far the largest beneficiary of charity from U.S. taxpayers. Ukraine is considerably more important to the US than Israel and Taiwan is even more important.
