It does seem like history repeating. After WWI there was little appetite for armed conflict in the West. Left wing extremists took everybody's eye off the aggressive states as the real problem. And what happened was Hitler and Stalin and WW2. It's a real problem because the present "Axis powers" are able to bullshit Americans on BOTH the left and the right into thinking military power is not the answer and it's too expensive. And if the woke is for defending Ukraine or if the right is for defending Israel then one should be against that.
