I struggled to get through Mr Capehart's WAPO statement. The idea that the bill pushed by the Democrats was the solution is, frankly ludicrous. Danielle, you cleared the air very nicely in stating that the President already has the authority to regulate, even close the border and gave it up on January 21, 2021. I was impressed that you answered the questions and then that guy calls them platitudes. Wow, that truly shocked me. Good job! I sure hope that Israel's current plan leads down the road to Tehran. Success would be assured with US help.

I’d be curious for your thoughts on whether you think Israel has bigger plans for Iran. I agree that this is definitely in part about restoring deterrence, but I also wonder if Israel has decided to go full balls to the wall and is legitimately interested in taking down the entire enterprise by making Khamenei its next target.
